Chevrolet made its triumphant return to open wheel racing for the first time in six years at the IndyCar Grand Prix of St. Petersburg in St. Petersburg, Florida two weeks ago. Chevrolet scored a solid win, as well as four of the top five spots. Driver Helio Castroneves sealed the victory in his Chevrolet V6 powered IndyCar, which features turbo-charging and direct injection. Castroneves, who drives for Penske racing, completed the race in only two stops, while most of his competitors used three. What do you think of Chevy's future in the IZOD IndyCar series?

1963 Corvette stingray

The 1963 Corvette Sting Ray offered the top 360-hp fuel-injected 327 V-8 and the equally desirable four-speed manual gearbox.
The 1963 Corvette stingrays were some of the most iconic cars that Chevy has ever released. The design for the car was based on a one-off penned by GM's design chief at the time, Bill Mitchell. The Corvette stingrays featured a split window design in the rear, which was a new styling feature for the Corvette. Each Corvette stingray featured fuel-injected, small block V8's that produced anywhere from 250 to 360 horsepower, depending on the trim level. Available in either coupe or convertible form, these cars have since become some of Americ's most beloved sports cars. How do you think this 1963 Corvette Stingray convertible looks?

2012 Camaro ZL1

nbsp;             Chevrolet just released its newest model, the Camaro ZL1. This Camaro is the most powerful Camaro that Chevy has ever made. The car was made in response to a few complaints about the lower trim level, less expensive Camaros that are in Chevy's model line. The ZL1 has a 580-bhp, 556 lb-ft V-8 engine that can propel the car from 0-60 mph in 3.9 seconds. Here, on the Nurburgring Nordshleife track in Germany, which is used by almost every company that produces performance automobiles to test their car's performance capabalities on a racetrack. The Camaro ZL1, at the hands of GM test driver Aaron Link, ahieved a blistering 7:41.27 lap time. Here is part of his adrenaline-pumping drive. How would you do out on the track?

First Post

Hello and welcome to my blog! This blog will delve into the history of one of our country's most prominent automotive companies, Chevrolet. Founded in 1906, Chevy has since created some of the most timeless, desireable cars on the automotive market today. Chevy's model line runs the entire automotive gamut. On one side of the spectrum lies the Volt. An innovative, inexpensive, sensible, and reliable small car that does not use any petroleum. On the other side of the spectrum, you have the Corvettes and Camaros, with their high power, performance technology, good looks, and adrenaline-pumping speed.
This blog will examine the whole spectrum of chevy cars (although mainly the fun ones!), starting from the company's birth in the early twentieth century going up all the way to present day. In each post, I will include a picture of one of chevrolet's coolest cars.  Here's one of my dream cars: A 1968 Chevy Camaro SS. What's your dream car?
